How Soon Can You Start?

Can you believe we are half way through summer? I can’t. It has been an exciting year for us at Dover and we are ready to go into the fall with projects for both our past customers and new and very wonderful to work with new clients.

One of the top five questions people ask us, "When will you start?" if you’ve had a chance to browse our website you’ll see that to some degree is actually is driven by you. Once a contract is signed we begin selecting your specific products. When this process is complete we generally will start four to six weeks from that time. The crucial selection that drives the start date is "cabinets". After your selection is made we send out a Purchase Order and then the vendor you’ve chosen gets the ball rolling to produce such cabinet. Many times people believe that there is a factory somewhere with a warehouse full of cabinetry. That is not the case. As most of our past clients know, we will not start a job until all selections are made. This ensures the continuity of your project and keeps us as well as our subcontractors on schedule.

So, with all this being said, although we are still enjoying our beautiful Cleveland summer weather, you may want to think about getting your home remodeling projects started now. Once the kids go back to school and everyone settles into a routine again we will be ready to roll. Depending upon the scope of work, a start date of September/ early October, we can complete your new kitchen, bath room, addition, etc. so that you can take pleasure from the finished project for the holidays.
